My Very first Post😊 Bday Party at Sun City Restaurant

Hello guys, in this occasion I am so happy to tell you that I am starting writing a blog. I am so green and new in this field, so I hope you guys can help me improving this blog by commenting this blog (about advice or critics, that’s okay).

And I am also so grateful that you guys visiting my very first blog http://ilovetreatsnsnack.blogspot.com/ . I’ll provide review about restaurant or food that I have and share it with you guys.  I hope we can explore more about delicacy all around the world, especially Indonesian. 

The very first entry of this blog is my review of Sun City - Chinese Dim Sum Restaurant Family Gathering . It’s a five-star restaurant located in Lindeteves Trade Centre, 5th Floor Jl. Hayam Wuruk no. 127, Jakarta Barat, 11180. 

It’s a very high class restaurant and the foods is very expensive. It’s always crowded and has a long queue in lunch time and weekends. I rarely visit this restaurant. But, because of my grandma having her birthday party here, I can enjoy this delicious chinese food here. LOL.

 

The Restaurant serves varieties of high class chinese cuisine, starting from abalone to Hisit soup. The table is very large and round, can accommodate up to 10 people. When I and my family sat, the waiter immediately served some appetizer (or snack maybe? I’m not so sure what is it) It is a cheese stick with alluimnium foil in the glass.

I love this cheese stick. It’s very crispy and a little bit salty but cheesy, but overall it’s very good. This cheese stick is the best choice for children because they love it. My niece who is a toddler is addicted to this cheese stick and kept eating this cheese stick till the end of the party. And the aluminium foil makes my hand remain clean while eating the cheese stick by hand.

After the cheese stick, I was served a Hisit (Shark Fin) Soup.

The soup was served in a hot bowl, so that the soup remains hot. The flavor is just salty, but It’s advised to add some garlic, pepper, or chili to enhance the flavor. It’s not just delicious but also is very healthy. It’s said that sharks’ fin can keep your metabolism in good pace and make your skin and eyes in good condition.

Next one, the waiters served the next dish, 4 Combination.

 

4 Combinations

It’s the best dish of the night (I think?). 4 Combinations contain of big platter with 4 dishes within. There are jellyfish, roasted peking duck, sliced pork, and sliced meat. I love the jelly fish the most, because it’s so refreshing and it’s like washing my mouth clean and giving my mouth some coolness. The jellyfish is a little bit spicy and sour, but I recommended you guys to try this one. The peking duck and pork are pretty good, but have decent flavor like other chinese restaurants.

Next dish is fried shrimp. The restaurant make the fried shrimp so adorable by its presentation. Look!!!

The fried shrimp is deep fried with very thin flour and is stirred by chili so it gives spiciness to the shrimp. There are some sprinkle of crispiness (I don’t know what it is) but it’s very tasty and worth trying. The watermelon and melon (beneath the shrimp) make my throat clear after eating fried shrimp (I will have sore throat after eating frying).

Next dish is chicken. It’s not an ordinary chicken. My uncle said that the chicken is from Australia (Australian chicken). I don’t know what the difference is, but it’s much smaller from ordinary chicken. The chicken dish contains two type of chicken, fried one and roasted ones. The fried is salty and the roasted is sweet. I prefer fried one because I love the crispiness. The chicken is well cooked and juicy inside. Overall, it’s worth trying.

I actually a little bit full after eating this whole dishes, but the next dish is very tempting. It’s abalone with sea cucumber.

It’s very delicious and the price is insanely not affordable (for me hahaha -.-).  I love the abalone, it’s very tender and the sauce is very good. Haisom (Sea cucumber) is like a jelly but with very interesting flavor, makes me want to have more and more. It’s said that this dish is very good for your health because it contains many nutritious ingredients, vitamin and mineral to make your blood clean and enrich your skin. So if you want to have porcelain-like skin, eat this dish as many as possible (hahhhaaa ^_^).

Last but not least dish is Coconut ice pudding. It’s the best dessert I ever had. The pudding is not very sweet and it’s perfect for me. When I eat the first bite, I can feel the tenderness and the coolness of the pudding inside my mouth. The coconut in the coconut shell makes the pudding perfect. It’s very addicting and I would have this one next time I visit Sun City. It’s the sweetest farewell from Sun City for me.

That’s all the dishes I had that night in Sun City Restaurant. Overall, they serve very good and tasty food, the service is also pretty good, although I think the price is ridiculous, but It’s worth with good foods and services they have.
